I spend a lot of my time building things around EVE Frontier, so after playing with Jev for a bit I started wondering what it might look like if you used it almost like a higher level NPC commander rather than a normal LLM agent. The thought experiment was one boss NPC commanding around 60 otherwise deterministic NPCs. Jev doesn't fly anything, shoot anything or run every game tick. It just gets a compact numeric snapshot of the battlefield and answers 16 tactical questions in parallel, things like whether the boss is in danger, whether the swarm is overextended, whether it should regroup, whether reinforcements make sense and which target should be prioritised. Ordinary deterministic logic then decides what to actually do with those answers. I ended up turning it into a proper benchmark and ran 220 live calls against the community API. Median input was about 3,448 tokens and median latency from Scotland was around 240ms. 1 and 2
